Minnesota-based company 3M and Taiwan-based Quanta Computer have collaborated to create the Dispersive Signal Technology (DST). This new touchscreen technology is capable of detecting both the stylus and finger input with high precision. Unfortunately, there is no info on pricing or availability at this time. Word has it that this new touchscreen display will be released by the end of this year.
